Fuel efficiency and environmental concerns are driving change in the transport sector. Helen Robertson reports from this year’s Michelin Challenge Bibendum in Berlin
Motorists in the future may find it difficult to choose exactly what type of vehicle they wish to drive. If the prototypes on display at this year’s Michelin Challenge Bibendum are anything to go by, options will range from an electric car that looks like it’s come straight from the Star Wars planet Tattooine, to models fuelled by hydrogen (see p26), Segways and even electric bicycles – but one thing is certain: all will be greener and more fuel efficient.
