Only 10pc of energy companies aligned with Paris Agreement – TPI
Majority of firms’ emissions reduction plans are insufficient to keep warming below 1.5°C
Most of the 140 largest energy companies around the world are still taking insufficient action to reduce emissions in line with goals set by the Paris Agreement, according to recent analysis by investor coalition the Transition Pathway Initiative (TPI). The Paris Agreement aims to keep global warming to within 1.5°C this century, but only 14 companies have set emissions reduction targets aligned with that goal.
