Talos and Storegga in US Gulf Coast CCS joint venture
Region’s industrial base sits adjacent to large natural carbon storage province located offshore in shallow waters
US independent oil and gas company Talos Energy has formed an exclusive joint venture with UK-based carbon capture and storage (CCS) specialist Storegga to source and develop CCS projects on the US Gulf Coast and Gulf of Mexico. Under the agreement, Talos— one of the leading independents in the US Gulf—will be the operating partner and costs will be shared 50/50 in the initial phases of development.
