RWE and Arcelormittal cooperate on green steel
Plan includes joint bidding for offshore wind projects and developing green hydrogen supply for German steel mills
German energy company RWE and steel producer Arcelormittal have signed a memorandum of understanding to jointly develop, build and operate offshore windfarms and green hydrogen production capacity to supply Arcelormittal’s German mills. The two companies intend to jointly bid for North Sea offshore wind projects and deploy a 70MW pilot electrolyser by 2026.
