No rapid buildout seen for CCS in China
Carbon capture rates forecast to rise steadily from end of decade, but policy tools to drive large-scale deployment have yet to take shape, according to DNV
China’s ambitions to be a global green technology leader do not yet appear to have extended to the CCS sector. In terms of deployment, it lags other regions, including Europe and North America, and concrete policies to support the sector’s expansion are still lacking, according to assurance and risk management company DNV.
