E3 Metals leads Canadian ‘green’ lithium charge
Canada’s vast unconventional wastewater brine resource base means it is likely to become a major producer on the global market
A large number of Canadian companies are hoping to join the lithium production business over the next decade. Consumption is expected to grow at a rapid pace on the back of skyrocketing electric vehicle and stationary battery sales, possibly driving lithium prices substantially higher. Canadian producers generally should have the inside track on the monster US market given rising geopolitical tensions elsewhere. But one potential producer stands out from the pack: Calgary-based E3 Metals Corp, with its potentially ‘revolutionary’ direct lithium extraction (DLE) technology and world-class, albeit unconventional, resource base.
