A large number of Canadian companies are hoping to join the lithium production business over the next decade. Consumption is expected to grow at a rapid pace on the back of skyrocketing electric vehicle and stationary battery sales, possibly driving lithium prices substantially higher. Canadian producers generally should have the inside track on the monster US market given rising geopolitical tensions elsewhere.
