LNG cargo at Dhamra terminal arrives amid shift to securing supplies and capping prices
India’s government and industry stakeholders are moving to get ahead of the gas curve, with the arrival of the first LNG cargo at the newly established Dhamra terminal making a bold statement of intent. France’s TotalEnergies said in mid-April that first delivery had been made to Dhamra and that this will pave the way for the gradual commissioning of the facility, which is expected to start commercial operations at the end of May. “With regasification capacity of 5mn t/yr of LNG, the Dhamra LNG terminal adds more than 10pc to India’s regasification capacity, strengthening the country’s position as the world's fifth-largest LNG importer and allowing it to increase the share of natural gas in
