Opposition to the expansion of Canadian export pipelines could deter investment in the oil sands, compromising the security of US energy supplies, says Ron Liepert, Alberta's energy minister. In an interview with PE Unconventional, Liepert said that while he expected "reason to prevail", the "reality is that if we don't have a market for our product, there will be a curtailment of oil-sands investment".
