Two more finds for TotalFinaElf
THE GROUP headed by TotalFinaElf has made two more discoveries in its prolific Block 17, bringing the block's total to 15. The finds, in deep water, are close together in the southeast of the block, presenting opportunities for a joint development with two other discoveries. The Acacia-1 well, in 1,030 metres of water, tested a combined 13,712 barrels a day (b/d) from two separate zones. The follow-up well, Hortensia-1, was spudded 10 km north of Acacia in 830 metres of water, and flowed 5,092 b/d. Two finds have been made in the block's southeastern area - Perpétua and Zinia.
