AIM-listed E&P firm Sound Energy is bullish about the fuel’s future, both domestically and potentially for export
The Moroccan upstream is attracting elevated attention after years in the doldrums, particularly on the back of upgrades to the offshore resource at the Anchois gas discovery operated by AIM-listed Chariot Oil & Gas. Israel’s Newmed is the latest E&P firm to get involved in the sector, signing up to a 35pc stake in the Boujdour Atlantique offshore exploration licence in early December. But there is also interest in Morocco’s onshore, where AIM-listed E&P firm Sound Energy is active. Petroleum Economist spoke to the firm’s executive chairman, Graham Lyon, to find out more.
