Opedal lays out Equinor transition strategy
Firm will reduce carbon intensity of oil production, invest in offshore wind, and look to CCS and hydrogen
Norwegian state energy firm Equinor is adopting a three-part strategy to becoming net zero by 2050, according to CEO Anders Opedal, speaking at a Reuters global energy transition event. The first part of the strategy involves reducing the emissions of the firm’s oil and gas portfolio.
