EV sales unaffected by pandemic – IEA
Sales in the sector are growing fast thanks to strong consumer demand and policy support from governments
Electric vehicles (EVs) will displace 3.4mn bl/d of oil by 2030 under the IEA sustainable development scenario, adding 850TWh to annual electricity demand. The global EV fleet consumed just over 80TWh in 2020, according to the IEA’s Global EV outlook, released today.
