Oil major and Dutch developer Hycc target FID in 2023 following positive feasibility study
BP and Dutch hydrogen development company Hycc have agreed to accelerate plans for a 250MW green hydrogen project next to the Port of Rotterdam, following the completion of a feasibility study. The two companies will, over the next 12 months, select a technology supplier, further develop the design of the plant and start the environmental studies for the permitting process. FID on the project, which is called H2-Fifty and is one of Europe’s largest green hydrogen projects to date, is expected in 2023.
