Invenergy to produce first green hydrogen by end of year
US developer plans to begin construction on its first green hydrogen project in the coming months
US energy developer Invenergy has announced plans to develop its first green hydrogen project, to be located in the state of Illinois. Sauk Valley Hydrogen will use a proton-exchange-membrane electrolyser from manufacturer Ohmium International powered by a co-located Invenergy solar project to generate up to 52t/yr of hydrogen. The project will also have 400kg of hydrogen storage capacity, as well as loading capacity for shipping hydrogen offsite.
