BP progresses Aberdeen Hydrogen Hub
Joint venture with city council plans to start up 800kg/d green hydrogen plant and refuelling station by 2024
BP Aberdeen Hydrogen Energy—a joint venture between BP and local government body Aberdeen City Council—has submitted a planning application for an integrated green hydrogen and vehicle refuelling hub. The first phase of the project will use electricity from a planned solar farm to produce 800kg/d of hydrogen, enough to fuel 25 buses a day as well as a range of public and private vehicles.
