Hy2gen contracts Technip for Quebec green ammonia project pre-Feed
Developer aims to commission 220,000t/yr project by 2028
German developer Hy2gen has contracted France’s Technip Energies to complete a pre-Feed study for its Courant 220,000t/yr green ammonia project in Quebec. Technip will assess potential process configuration and technologies for the plant, as well as capital requirements and site operating costs. Hy2gen plans to use hydropower to power both hydrogen production and air separation for nitrogen. While the developer is still exploring offtake options, it expects to see demand from existing ammonia users in Quebec.
