Japex buys into Vietnamese LNG project
The firm is poised to enter Vietnam’s burgeoning LNG sector
Japanese explorer Japex has signed an agreement with Vietnam’s Iteco to purchase an unspecified stake in its Nam Dinh Vu LNG terminal development. The project involves the “procurement, storage and supply of LNG” as well as construction of the regasification terminal. The facility will have an initial capacity of 650,000t/yr and 50,000m³ of storage, with plans to add another 30,000m³ storage tank in the latter half of the 2020s.
