New executive for Scottish Power
Ian Russell has been named as the new deputy chief executive at Scottish Power. The 45 year old will maintain his current position as finance director and will also be responsible for the company's Southern Water and Scottish Telecom subsidiaries. Russell played a significant role in the acquisitions of both Southern Water and the electricity company ManWeb and his profile within the company increased earlier this year with the departure of another senior executive, Mike Kinski, for Stagecoach.
