Planned rounds Israel’s Ministry of Energy has announced preparations for the fourth offshore bidding round for oil & gas exploration licences in the country’s exclusive economic zone. Twenty-five blocks have been mapped and will be grouped into six clusters with a maximum area of up to 1,600km² each. No further details are available at this time. Block 72, the only block offered in the country’s third offshore bidding round, has yet to be awarded. Kazakhstan will offer a further 15 onshore blocks at auction on 23 April 2021 in a follow-up to its first ever online auction in December, where seven of ten blocks were successfully awarded.
