The industry's most comprehensive list of current and recent rounds for onshore and offshore licences
Planned rounds Norway’s Ministry of Petroleum has issued a proposal to open the 2022 Awards in Predefined Areas (APA) round for public consultation. The proposal entails including new acreage in the Barents Sea blocks in the APA area. “Access to new, attractive exploration acreage is a pillar in the government’s policy for further development of the petroleum industry,” says recently appointed petroleum minister Terje Aasland. The ministry aims to conduct APA 2022 in line with the usual schedule, with an application deadline in Q3 2022 and awards in January 2023. No further details are available.
