Jadestone sees opportunities in Southeast Asia
The AIM-listed independent is pushing ahead with developments in Indonesia, Malaysia and Vietnam, CEO Paul Blakeley tells Petroleum Economist
Jadestone Energy CEO Paul Blakeley spoke with Petroleum Economist about his company’s Southeast Asian and Australian ambitions and on the various business environments in the fast-growing region. The AIM-listed firm recently announced the start of gas flows from its Akatara field in Indonesia at a rate of around 4mcf/d, or about one fifth of the eventual contractual volume, as well as the beginning of associated LPG production. Jadestone acquired the Akatara field from a private equity company that previously attempted to tap its deeper oil reserves.
