Public Utilities Commission delays vote on controversial proposals to reduce incentives for rooftop solar in the state
A furore is still under way over proposals to reduce incentives for solar rooftop panels in California, the US’ largest solar market. Regulator the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) was to vote on the Net Energy Metering 3.0 (NEM 3.0) proposal in late January but has instead shelved its decision indefinitely. It cites changes in the make-up of the commission and the need for the new panel to be up to speed as the reasons for its decision.
