This category also recognises the stakeholders providing the legal, financial and strategic advice behind major projects. The advisory board looked for evidence of engagement in developing projects or partnerships across the hydrogen sector, both internally and externally.

Ana has provided exceptional support to NEOM Green Hydrogen Company in her role as general counsel in particular helping to steer the company to a successful $8.5b financial close and finalise a $6.5b EPC contract. The project is the world's largest green hydrogen/ammonia project under construction and once completed in 2026 will be capable of exporting 1.1mt/yr of green ammonia. Ana has emerged as a thought leader in the green hydrogen space, having spoken at prestigious gatherings such as the World Climate Summit, Women Leader’s Summit, and numerous panels at COP28.

Carina is a partner in White & Case’s Global Energy Group, with a particular focus on green energy solutions and significant hydrogen experience worldwide. Carina acted as lead partner on all aspects of the landmark $8.4b financing of the NEOM Green Hydrogen Project in 2023. She has combined her hydrogen, renewables and finance expertise to advise the NEOM Green Hydrogen Company every step of the way to get this complex state-of-the-art project across the line – a game changer globally. Carina is a member of the firm’s executive committee, the primary decision-making body of the firm and she has also served as the chair of White & Case’s Global Women’s Initiative, through which the firm enhances opportunities for women lawyers and business services professionals in various programs worldwide and encourages diversity in senior leadership.
Caroline is responsible for delivering the European element of Air Products’ £15b ($19b) commitment to energy transition projects globally. She has driven the strategic and financial decision-making for Air Products’ multi-billion-dollar investment in three energy import terminals in the UK, Germany and the Netherlands. These terminals will use imported renewable energy (stored as ammonia) to produce renewable hydrogen. Caroline is a sector influencer, sharing insights on the entire hydrogen value chain and contributing to global events and publications on actions needed to generate a cleaner future.
As Group CCO and member of Topsoe’s senior leadership team, Elena stands behind Topsoe's hydrogen projects globally, from market strategy, pilots for new technologies to MOUs and FIDs. In 2023 alone, Elena was directly involved in a partnership with Aramco to pilot eREACT™ that converts NG into L-C hydrogen using renewable power; an agreement to provide ExxonMobil with Topsoe’s SynCOR™ hydrogen technology; singing an MoU with POSCO PLANTEC, an affiliate of South Korean steel-making giant, POSCO. Elena received the Catalyst Producer of the Year award at the ERTC Industry Awards ceremony in 2023.
Geetha Ramamoorthi is the managing director for KBR India. Geetha's leadership has not only driven the growth of KBR's sustainable technology solutions in India but has also set new benchmarks for diversity, equity and inclusion. Geetha successfully led a 70% workforce expansion in India for KBR during 2023 and the total India headcount stands at 2,400 at present. Her efforts resulted in the opening of two new offices last year. Geetha’s leadership sets a transformative course for KBR in India, driving growth and diversity initiatives that contribute significantly to advancing the hydrogen economy.

Katie Ellet is the president of hydrogen energy and mobility at Air Liquide North America. Since her appointment in October 2021, she has demonstrated exceptional leadership, vision and commitment, propelling the company's hydrogen endeavours to unprecedented achievements including positioning the company to be a partner of six out of the seven hydrogen hubs selected by the DOE for award negotiation; fostering strategic partnerships to pursue the development of the heavy-duty hydrogen fuelling market in the US; the inauguration of Air Liquide’s largest liquid hydrogen production facility in North Las Vegas. Katie is engaged as a speaker and thought leader, leveraging her expertise to raise awareness around energy transition and hydrogen as an essential solution for a diversified energy basket.

Lucy leads the strategic & financial direction of three of the largest-scale hydrogen projects in Australia. She is a sought-after expert on the role of companies like bp in the energy transition, is deputy chair of the Australian Hydrogen Council & sits on the advisory board of the Curtin Institute for Energy Transition, part of Curtin University’s global thought leadership on climate and energy technology.

Marcia is very passionate about low carbon energy and that reflects on her commitment to educating her audience through social media. Inspiring people and spreading awareness about the hydrogen industry through her podcast. It has impacted the project execution strategy from the business development side, finding how Worley can add value to the market by incorporating modularisation, logistics and safety as pillars of development.

Zoë is a driving force for global hydrogen developments, resolving structuring issues and commercial risks through innovative legal solutions and delivering bankable hydrogen projects. Zoë is part of the AIEN Hydrogen Taskforce leadership team, focused on educating stakeholders and developing model contracts. The AIEN board has also elected Zoë to chair a drafting committee that will develop a model form green hydrogen purchase agreement (HPA).
