Two more finds have been made at the upstream frontier’s prolific Stabroek block
Partners ExxonMobil and New York-headquartered Hess have made two more discoveries at Guyana’s Stabroek block, increasing the number of discoveries made in the country this year to seven. The first discovery, Seabob 1, is around 19km southeast of the Yellowtail development and in waters 1,421m deep. The second, Kiru-Kiru 1, is about 5km southeast of the Cataback-1 discovery and in waters 1,756m deep. Together, the new finds will increase Stabroek’s resources beyond its previous recoverable resource estimate of 11bn bl oe.
